Exposure Camps

Exposure camps can be a valuable way for teams and agents to evaluate your game in person. However, many exposure camps are not worth the money and do not produce results. The low success rates and high costs of exposure camps is part of why Agent-Link was created, to help quality players get exposure and agents and teams find top players in a more efficient and cost effective way. However, while Agent-Link is a great substitute for exposure camps, if you are considering attending one, below are a few factors to consider before choosing to attend an exposure camp.

  1. Do you know any agents or teams attending?

If an agent or coach has specifically requested that you attend an exposure camp so they can evaluate you, it may be more valuable. If you do not know anyone attending, it can be very easy to get lost in the crowd as exposure camps create a difficult environment where each player is encouraged to focus on themselves rather than the team.

  1. Does the camp have a draft?

If the exposure camp does not have a player draft, it is likely that the teams may be stacked to showcase a few very dominant teams while neglecting several weaker teams. When the teams are randomized or drafted, players are more evenly distributed and you are more likely to be seen.

  1. Will agents and teams be physically attending the camp?

Many exposure camps say they will livestream the event and send your game film to a variety of coaches and agents. While this sounds nice and may work at times, it does not often generate results and you are much more likely to find success if there are coaches physically attending the exposure camp.
