Moving to a Better League

Moving to a higher league and increasing your salary is a major goal for most professional players. The best way to do this is to perform well in your current league and help your team win games. However, below are a few more factors to consider that can affect your advancement.

  1. Do your agent’s clients advance often?

If the other clients represented by your agent are often able to move to a better league after performing well this is a good sign. If your agent has trouble helping their clients advance, then it may be a sign that you should look for a different agent.

  1. How much exposure does your current league get?

It is worth looking at where top performing players in your league play after a breakout season. If they are able to advance to a better league this may be a sign that your league receives good exposure and is well regarded. If few players advance to better leagues after a strong season, it is possible that your league may be poorly regarded or have weak infrastructure for things like keeping stats and filming games.
